Old German Magpie Tumbler is one of the oldest German dove breeds. That breed was used to create Magpie Tumbler that has long beak, which is extremely widespread in all Germany and it is also particularly respected because it is a perfect flyer and a perfect air tumbler. Old German Magpie Tumbler has a quite horizontal posture and it is lively and smart. Within Allevamento Poggio di Ponte, Old German Magpie Tumbler is in three different varieties: blue, red and black.
MAIN FEATURES OF THE BREED
Head: Well rounded and with plump face.
Eyes: Iris has a pearl color. Contours are thin and smooth. They are coral red in soft beak color subjects, dark in darker ones.
Beak: Medium-length, it forms an obtuse angle with forehead. Nostrils are small, close-fitting and pink.
Breast: Large and prominent.
Back: Large and slightly descending.
Wings: Well closed but not so clutched, they have large feathers. Flying feathers are a little bit shorter than tail and they lay on it.
Tail: Well closed.
Paws: Medium-length and smooth.
Plumage: Well close-fitting to the body and hard-coated.
Coat: With soft beak: black, red, yellow, blue, blue dabbed, blue-silver, blue-silver dabbed. With darker beak: black, blue and blue-silver.
