Berlin Long Faced Tumbler shows a proud posture and an intense nature. It was selected in the mid-nineteenth century in Berlin. It is a faint and delicate dove because of its well proportioned parts of the body. It has an high position on the paws and shows a quite horizontal body posture. Neck is vertical whereas head and beak are horizontal. Within Allevamento Poggio di Ponte, Berlin Long Faced Tumbler is in “pica” variety in blue color.
MAIN FEATURES OF THE BREED
Head: Extremely clutched, elongated and thin ahead.
Eyes: Rather big, with small pupil and very soft iris which can be almost white. Contours are a little bit developed and their color is in proportion with plumage.
Beak: Straight, long and thin, it is horizontal. It is dark in blue subjects. Nostrils are white and smooth.
Breast: Clutched, not so prominent. Belly is a little bit developed and flat.
Back: Flat, slightly inclined. Also clutched at shoulders-deep.
Wings: Tense and close-fitting to the body, wing shoulder is not covered by breast feathers. Flight feathers are well closed and on the tail.
Tail: Well closed, is quite horizontal. It is longer than wings about one thumb.
Paws: Long and small-boned, are clutched each other. Small and thick feathers, well close-fitting and thin cover paws and come till nails. Heel articulations are slightly curved backward and inwards without reach each other.
Plumage: Well developed and tense.
Coat: “Pica” in blue, pearl, “Isabella”, black, red and yellow colors.
