Oriental Frill is hailing from Holland and it is one of the oldest breed of Owl Pigeons existing in Europe. This breed has a pretty aspect, it is high-spirited but also domesticated. Oriental Frill is medium sized, body posture is horizontal and compact, tuft is sharp and the tie is long and thick. Within Allevamento Poggio di Ponte, Oriental Frill is white with shoulder dabbed silver and red.
MAIN FEATURES OF THE BREED
Head: Elongated, not so straight. Its larger part, which also is the highest point, is in front of the eyes. The upper line of the cranial cap is long and horizontal and it goes up to the back extremity forming a sharp tuft.
Eyes: Big, rounded and full, with a kind but also lively expression. Iris is dark and contours are soft and totally enclosed the eye.
Beak: Medium length, solid, blunt, well closed. It forms a line with the forehead. It is flesh-colored. Nostrils are small.
Breast: Large, well rounded.
Back: Short, large at the shoulder deep, it narrows to the back part. It is slightly inclined.
Wings: Solid, well closed. They cover the back and are laid on the tail.
Tail: From short to long, closed and horizontal.
Paws: Medium length.
Plumage: Well developed, close-fitting and shiny. Tie starts under the throat and it arrives till the breast.
Coat: Black, red, yellow, blue with bars, blue-silver with bars, red with bars, yellow with bars, blue dabbed, blue-silver dabbed, red dabbed, yellow dabbed and totally white.
