Thuringian Colour Breast is an old breed of Colour Pigeons which is hailing from Thuringia (Germany). This breed in appearance reminds to a solid country dove, with a quite horizontal posture, it has a sharp tuft and smooth paws. Within Allevamento Poggio di Ponte, Thuringian Colour Breast is in its black variety with white shoulder.
MAIN FEATURES OF THE BREED
Head: Well curved, with an almost high forehead and sharp tuft and well-marked and upwards as much as possible.
Eyes: With a color which can be vary in relation with the plumage. Iris is dark and contours are thin.
Beak: Medium length. In black subjects and in blue subjects are black. Nostrils are a little bit developed.
Breast: Large, well rounded.
Back: Long, large to shoulders-deep and slightly inclined.
Wings: Long, large, close and they cover the back.
Tail: Large and close.
Paws: Medium length, with tarsus without feathers. Nails color is not important.
Plumage: Well developed, smooth and close-fitting.
Coat: Dark brown, yellow, black and blue.
