Nowadays in several amateur breeding farms (most of them members of our association AIFAO) there are peculiar animals belonging to the same original race but different in color plumage. In this particular case, they are completely new subjects extremely refined, elegant with beautiful, rare and particular colors. Generally they are Ducks or Geese with the same behavioral and routine characteristics of others, so their way of living and feeding are the same of their forebears. The difference is only in their colors and coats. Babies need a greater attention in growth because they are more fragile and they are also particularly prone to possible illness than their original ones. Because of the blood relation, losses are higher and so the breeding attention has to be greater. Babies always need new food as new, clean water and they have to live in a particular habitat without any other animals like mice or other birds that are illness bearer. It is all very important because a little bit more of attention brings better results. It is exciting to breed animals with new, brilliant and rare colors.
